14 years. That is how long I've been with Kent.
People inevitably ask me how I like it at Kent and I always say that it's hard to imagine being "happy" with a company for 14 years, but I still am!
I'd have to attribute that to the fact that I have been given every opportunity to learn and grow within the company. From my very first day, I could see the opportunity and various career paths that were open to me. I have chosen to take the Marketing path, but there were many options; Store Management, Human Resources, Process Improvement, Purchasing...to name only a few.
I have had no less than four great mentors over the years. Every manager I've had has taken the time to teach me the skills I needed to succeed in my position, and subsequently move on to the next step in my career. Those I now manage (and have managed in the past) reap these benefits as well, because being taught by a great mentor teaches you to be a great mentor yourself; giving other employees the same growth opportunities that you have been given.
We have a great team, great benefits and many opportunities. I am 34 now, and even with 14 years of experience, my education and growth continues. Happily. With Kent.
